Indoctrination (Black Star) features the logo of YouTube, centered on a black field and overlaid on a star. The composition is stark, cinematic, and algorithmically precise. YouTube is not a library—it is a funnel. A system that delivers not what is sought, but what is predicted. The viewer does not choose—they drift.

This canvas marks a late phase in the evolution of Romanticism: the shift from curated myth to automated belief. From nationalism to propaganda, from advertising to social media, each stage refines the machinery of desire. YouTube completes the loop—not by informing, but by reinforcing. The algorithm becomes the author.

The black star anchors the work within the series’ chromatic structure. It is not symbolic—it is systemic. A visual echo of the platform’s logic: dark, recursive, and endlessly generative.

YouTube does not indoctrinate through declaration. It does so through repetition, adjacency, and the quiet seduction of the next suggested video.
