Sublimation (White Star) features the logo of The New York Times, framed within a white square and overlaid on a star. The composition is restrained, typographic, and steeped in legacy. The Times does not shout—it narrates. Its authority lies in its tone: composed, curated, and culturally central.

Within the logic of Sublimation, this canvas reveals how information becomes permanence. The logo is not just a brand—it is a monument. A mechanism through which events are shaped into narrative, and narrative into record. The white star marks the chromatic zone, anchoring the work within the series’ visual structure.

This is not a critique of The New York Times. It is a portrait of its function. A system that refines complexity into clarity, and clarity into cultural memory.
